Mrs Mildred Lower

Mrs Mildred Lower

Our dear sister Mildred was called home to be with the Lord on 21 May 2019 she with her Husband served the Lord in China and Japan from 1947 to 1987. Please remember the family in your prayers.

from John Lower

2 Timothy 4:8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing.

Mildred went home to Glory on Tuesday 21 May.  She died at home, in her sleep, with no obvious pain about 7.30 pm.  So the family’s prayers were fully answered.  She had been going steadily down hill for some time, hastened by a couple of infections in March and April.  24 hour care was recommended so Philip and John upped their visits and length of stay.  In the last month she found walking and standing difficult and was more comfortable in bed.  Then she stopped eating about ten days ago but was still having small amounts of liquid.  John was in the room when she just stopped breathing and slipped away.  She was 100 years, 6 months and 2 days!

There will be a thanksgiving service for Mildred at Belmont Chapel, Exeter on Thursday 13 June at 2:30pm – all are welcome.
